San Schufro wins Bundeschampionat qualification ( 06-05-2009 )

During the first bundeschampionat qualifications in Iserlohn Germany, Heiko Klausing and the 6 year old stallion San Schufro have won. They received a score of 8.3.   With a magnificent score of 8.1 the stallion Bravissimo ridden by Wibke Stommel became second in their group for 5 year olds.

Bailamos through to performance test ( 06-02-2009 )

Today at the stallion show in Den Bosch the stallion Bailamos (OO Seven x Falco) is approved to do the performance test in Ermelo. The stallion was sold to Mr. T Coomans and Mrs De Jeu during the fifth edition of the Performance Plus Elite Auction. Reesink Horses congratulates the owners and the breeder Mr Vonk with this beautiful achievement.

Gabriëlle Rensink and Trione succesful in Zevenaar! ( 12-11-2008 )

Gabriëlle Rensink performed very well at the 1st of November in Zevenaar with her topmare Trione. She was placed first and third at 4th level. Gabriëlle bought Trione (Jazz x Zep) at the 2006 edition of the Performance Plus auction in Vragender. Trione is the full sister of PAVO cup star Robin Hood. He is performing at Grand Prix level now with Olympic rider Sue Blinks.

Presentation auction horses Wednesday the 26th of November ( 11-11-2008 )

The presentation of the auctionhorses on Friday the 28th of November will be moved to the Wednesday previous to the auction. Everybody interested in one or more of the horses offered for sale is welcome at Reesink Horses in Eibergen. The presentation of the auctionhorses will start at 19.00 p.m.  After the presentation of the horses there will be a possibility to try the horses.

Auctionhorses successful at show ( 04-11-2008 )

Annabel Rootveld started the mare Viola (OOSeven x Grand Cru) at a dressageshow in Luttenberg. They won the first test with 206 points (level M1) and became fifth in the second test with 190 points.   Zwerver (Scandic x D-Day) made his first appearance at L1 level at a show in Vragender. He was ridden by Judith Ribbels. They made a very successful start! They won the first and thirth price with 206 and 192 points.

Christel Peters will perform at Performance Plus 2008 ( 30-10-2008 )

First selectiondays Performance Plus big success. ( 07-10-2008 )

Trucks and trailers drove off and on during the selection days of Performance Plus Elite Auction on thursday the 2nd and Friday the 3rd of Octobre. A large diversity of young horses were presented to the selection commission. The selection commission consisting out of the brother Eugene and Patrick Reesink had the task to select the best horses. With one more selection day coming up, we can already reveal that some very interesting horses have been added.

Zorro qualified for half finals Pavo Cup ( 07-07-2008 )

At the Pavo Cup qualification in Vrouwenpolder last saturday, Zorro and his rider Geert Jan Raateland finished 2nd. With theire score of 76 points they are qualified for the half finals in Ermelo. Zorro, Jazz x Contango, was pursuased at the 2007 Performance Plus auction by Willem Jan Schotte. Reesink Horses congratulates Willem Jan and Geert Jan with this fantastic result!

Angel strikes the attention at ‘SK Wormerveer’ ( 03-07-2008 )

Angel (Sandro Hit x Obsession ster s. Jazz) is bred at stud ‘de Keizershoeve’ in Kessel. She was sold at the Performance Plus auction and is now registered by W. Bos in Wijdewormer. The charming dark bay was definitely not the tallest of the group but has a lot of presence and has a beautiful type. Besides 70 points for exterior and 75 points for movement she became 80 points for trot and canter. Grand mother, the preferent star mare Belinda is also mother of Tango (s. Jazz) delegated at the WCYH in Verden in 2006 en from the international dressage horse Pompidou (s. Jazz).

Steffen Peters and Ravel to the Olympics. ( 01-07-2008 )

Steffen Peters and Ravel were crowned USEF U.S. Grand Prix Dressage Champions (aka Festival of Champions) and won the USEF Olympuc Selection Trials for the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team in Dressage with a spectacular performance in the Grand Prix Freestyle. The pair finished first with a remarkable score of 79.500%. There overall score of 4 test was 75.863%. Ravel goes Olympic!!

Angel awarded ster ( 30-06-2008 )

Angel (Sandro Hit x Obesession ster s. Jazz) is ‘ster’ awarded. The darkbay mare showed a lot of expression and a beautifull type. She scored 70 points for type, 75 for overall movement and 80 points for trot and canter. Grand dam Belinda is ster and preferent and is dam of the approved KWPN stallion Tango (Jazz) who was selected for the World Championchips in Verden in 2006, she is also dam of the international dressage horse Pompidou (Jazz). Performance Plus congratulates W. Bos with this fantastic result.

Gisella Bartels wins KNHS title ( 18-03-2008 )

WANROIJ - With 1.62m D’Artagnan is not an eye-catcher because of his height in the dressage ring. Although when he starts moving he makes himself big and has a lot of expression. Under owner Gisella Bartels the chestnut gelding danced to the KNHS title in the L2 class on Saturday in Wanroij.

San Schufro II approved in Oldenburg ( 29-02-2008 )

Although the regular stallion shows of the different German studbooks are already past tense, still some pearls are added to the stallion selection at the several post stallion shows. This definitely can be said about the stallion of Reesink, San Schufro II who got approved at the Oldenburger stallion show at the 27th of February. The movement artist San Schufro II is a full brother to the in Westfalen approved "Premium" stallion San Schufro.

Sunny Boy x Biotop allowed for the performance test ( 05-02-2008 )

Last Saturday in ‘s Hertogenbosch the third round of the KWPN stallion show took place. One of the stallions with a ticket for the third round was Sunny Boy x Biotop. This stallion was for 50 % sold during the fourth edition of the Performance Plus Elite Auction to mr. Bernoski out of Bleiswijk, the Netherlands. Like the other stallions in the third round, the Sunny Boy x Biotop was allowed to do the performance test. Performance Plus congratulates mr. Bernoski with the great achievement of his stallion.

TC Zidane second in VSN trophy ( 16-01-2008 )

In the competition for the VSN trophy last Saturday TC Zidane (Rhodium x Falco) became the second best. Because of his achievements he was invited for the third and final round together with four others. In this round he upgraded himself enormously, and this was rewarded by his guest rider Hans Peter Minderhoud with 90 points. This resulted in a second position just behind Jazz son Zaragoza. Zidane was sold in the latest edition of Performance Plus to Tim Coomans. Reesink Horses congratulates him with this great result.

Watch Me wins in the USA ( 07-11-2007 )

In the month September the KWPN-NA organised the annual shows across North America. At these days horses of all ages are tested and IBOP-tests are ridden. One of the good performing horses was Watch Me (Sir Sinclair out of Swensie s. Wolkentanz II), bred by Tim Coomans. In Holland Watch Me was last years winner of the Prinsenstaddressuur and was sold at the Performance Plus auction. In the United States the mare of Iron Spring farm won the DG Bar Cup with the four year olds, got awarded keur after a good IBOP test and became second with the mares.   Source: Het Sportpaard

Record breaking Performance Plus Elite Auction ( 22-10-2007 )

Vragender – The fourth edition of performance Plus was a huge success. The turnover (€2.664.500,-) as well as the average price (€34.604,-) were higher than ever before. With €380.000,- the stallion French Kiss, spectacularly shown under saddle by Hans Peter Minderhout, was the highlight of the evening. A Russian invester is the new owner of the World champion with the six year olds in Verden 2004. In the “paardensportcentrum Lichtenvoorde” hang a Italian atmosphere Saturday night. Harley world stables provided some classic Italian motor cycles for decoration of the busy and with Italian flags decorated VIP gallery. Harley World stables also donated a painting of ‘Herman Brood’ with his rock ‘n roll idol Elvis Presley.  The revenue (€3300,-) was for the Dutch Cancer Society. The horses were sold to various counties.  Several horses were sold to the United states like an eight year old Now or Never x Ladalco, a four year old Laomedon x Ferro and two foals of Florencio. Also a large delegation out of Germany was present and bought for example a yearling stallion of Lingh a four year old Gribaldi x Facet and spectacular moving two year old stallion of Conteur x Alabaster.  Four horses were sold to Sweden. After the successful auction the  organisator of the Performance Plus Elite Auction , Reesink Horses announced that they will continue with this success formula. Next year Performance Plus will celebrate his first lustrum.

The last wildcards are added to the 2007 selection of Performance Plus Elite Auction herewith the collection has been finalized. Just like previous years some spectacular wildcards have been added. The names of the champion of the National Mare Show Zhara-Obertje, world champion French Kiss en top german stallion Sir Oldenburg were already made public. With these names we can ad Sting II full brother of Sting and San Shufro II, full brother of San Shufro who’s star is rising at the station of Sprehe. Further on some very interesting broodmares out of the best European dam lines have been added, some foals with pedigrees you can only dream off, some young stallions and some riding horses that have proven themselves already. New Wildcards on the website ( 11-10-2007 )

On www.performanceplus.nl a great number of wildcards have been added to the 2007 collection. Along the wildcards are some very special dressage horses. In an earlier stage the stallions Sir Oldenburg and World Champion French Kiss and national mare champion Zhara-Obertje were already added to the collection. Amongst the new updates are the full brother of the stallion Sting and the full brother of the stallion San Shufro. Further on we have some very interesting brood mares out of the best European bloodlines and some very interesting Riding Horses. Soraja successful ( 03-10-2007 )

Last weekend at the terains around the Radstake in Varseveld the Hippisch festijn Varseveld took place. Rider Lotje Schoots started her mare Soraja (Sunny Boy x Ragazzo) in the four year old dressage class and won this class by far. Reesink Horses congratulates her with this fantastic result.

Last week the organisation of the Performance Plus Elite Auction proudly annaouced to auction the in Germay approved stallions French Kiss (s. Florestan I) and Sir Oldenburg (s. Sion). At the end of that week another stunning wild card was added: Zhara-Obertje (s. Jazz) the National Champion of the three year old KWPN  mares.  It is not for the first time that the Performance Plus Elite Auction, held on the 20th of october at Paardensportcentrum Lichtenvoorde and organised by the Reesink Brothers, is using this tactic. Last year the provisional collection was announced in an early stadium, after wich one after an other potential top horse was added to the collection. Wim de Korte, current owner of the daughter of Jazz, confessed that his discission to sell the National Champion wasn't an easy one.  Besides Zhara-Obertje and the two above mentioned stallions, the Reesink Brothers also contracted the the number four mare of the National Championships Zoe Florence (s. Performance Plus is proud to announce that another champion has been added to the collection of to be auctioned horses at the 2007 Performance Plus Auction held at the Equestrian Centre Lichtenvoorde in Vragender, the Netherlands, on October 20, 2007. The newest addition is the 3-year old KWPN mare Zhara Obertje, by Jazz x Contango, who won the 2007 Dutch Mare Championships this summer. Last year, Performance Plus already successfully auctioned champion mare Wiona Utopia and reserve champion Wonderlady Texel. Also for sale will be the mare champion of Gelderland, Zoë Florence (Farrington x Florestan).

French Kiss and Sir Oldenburg To be Auctioned at 2007 Performance Plus ( 14-09-2007 )

September 14, 2007 Performance Plus is proud to announce the addition of the 2004 World Young Horse Champion French Kiss and the Oldenburg licensed stallion Sir Oldenburg to their collection of horses that will be auctioned on Saturday 20th October 2007 at the Equestrian Centre Lichtenvoorde in Vragender, the Netherlands. The 1998 born Baden Wurttemberger branded French Kiss is by Florestan x Donnerhall x World Cup and stands 168 cm high. In 2001, he was licensed, won the 30-day stallion performance test in Neustadt-Dosse and became the regional champion with a score of 8.8. In 2002, he was the Bundeschampion with a score of 9.1. In 2003 he won bronze at the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in the 5-year old division and placed fourth at the Bundeschampionate. In 2004, French Kiss claimed his biggest glory so far, winning the World Championships as a 6-year old with phenomenal scores: 9.0 for trot, 8.8 for canter, 9.7 for walk, 9.0 for rideability, 9.3 for overall impression and 9.16 in total. French Kiss is a drop dead gorgeous stallion with a breeding value of 138 points, ranking him in the top five of the best producing German licensed stallions. He has six licensed offspring at the moment. French Kiss is trained at Intermediaire I level and makes an international calibre dressage horse. Sir Oldenburg is a 1998 born Oldenburg stallion by Sion x Contender x Tin Rocco. He stands 169 cm high and is trained at Prix St Georges level. He was a premium stallion at the 2000 Oldenburg Stallion Licensing and placed third in the 30-day stallion performance test in Neustadt-Dosse with a rideability score of 9.0. He was Oldenburg Regional Champion as a 3-year old and reserve champion as a 4-year old. He won the bronze medal at the 2002 Bundeschampionate and was a finallist in 2004. He has a breeding value index for dressage of 144 points, ranking him amongst the top five percent of the German dressage stallions. At the moment, Sir Oldenburg has one licensed offspring. This years Performance Plus Elite Auction will take place at the 20th of October at the "Paardensportcentrum Lichtenvoorde" in Vragender. As off today the collection of the fourth edition can be admired at www.performanceplus.nl. The offer varies from foals to trained dressage horses. Just like last year a few horses will be admitted to the auction by a wildcard. Last years wildcards were for example the champion and reserve champion of the National Mare Show. Soraya qualified for the semi finals Pavo Cup ( 09-07-2007 )

On the fifth of July the selections for the Pavo Cup took place. Lotje Schoots qualified herself with Soraya (Sunny Boy x Ragazzo) for the semi finals of the Pavo Cup. With 76 points she was placed fourth. Soraya was sold during the 2005 Performance Plus auction to Lotje Schoots.

pregnancy Hotline ( 01-06-2007 )

At the Performance plus auction of 2006 for the first time a pregnancy was sold. It was a pregnancy of Hotline out of the full sister to Florencio. A beautifull stallion foal is born out of this pregnancy. We congratulate Mr. Slippens and the new owner mr. Hoefs with the birth of a wonderful foal.

San Shufro (Sandro Hit x Don Shufro) has done its performance test in Schlieckau. With an average rate of 8,31 for the dressage part, San Shufro past the test perfectly. San Shufro is available at Gestut Sprehe. Reesink Horses sold the horse at the Performance Plus auction.

Performance Plus major success! ( 22-10-2006 )

The third edition of Performance Plus, the elite auction of dressage horses in Vragender, The Netherlands, was an overwhelming success. No less than 10 horses were sold for € 100.000,- or more. The collection consisted of 51 horses (from yearling until Grand Prix horse), 15 foals and one embryo. The total turnover was 2.7 million.   Performance Plus 2006 was the auction of the champions. Several title holders and vice-champions turned this years collection into a very special bid. The Dutch champion of the 3 year old dressage horses Wiona Utopia (s.San Remo) was sold to Seth Boschman (€ 130.000,-) and vice champion Wonderlady Texel (s.Ferro) was even more expensive (€ 155.000,-). The champion of the Prinsenstad dressage ability test for three year olds Watch Me (s.Sir Sinclair) amazed the public with her extravagant movements. The hammer fell at € 130.000,-. Yet the top prize was paid for a stallion. Sam Sam (s.Houston), approved in Denmark, became a new, British, owner for the sum of € 160.000,- Kathleen Raine bought Unanda by telephone after having tried the 2004 reserve champion of Holland a couple of times previous to the auction. Raine paid € 125.000,- for this beautiful Olivi-daughter. Susan Hudson purchased six dressage prospects. One of them was Topper (s.Royal Dance), schooled at Light Tour level (€ 102.000,-). An unidentified buyer paid € 12.000,- for an embryo of Hotline (champion of the Hanoverian stallion show last year) and Florencia (full sister to Florencio).

Spectacular last minute addition ( 17-10-2006 )

Performance Plus has managed to add another top dressage talent to its auction. The winner of last weekend's event in Manege De Prinsenstad in Delft, an ability test for three year old dressage horses, will be auctioned by Performance Plus as the new number 45, replacing an offspring of Quattro x Voltaire. Watch Me (Sir Sinclair x Wolkentanz II x Pretendent) received almost exclusively 9's from the judges Frenk Jespers and Alex Van Silfhout and won the test by a great margin. So after Wiona Utopia and Wonderlady Texel another three year old top talent for dressage will be auctioned coming Saturday. The presentation of Performance Plus will be held next Friday at the Equestrian Center Lichtenvoorde in Vragender.

First presentation of Performance Plus horses ( 16-10-2006 )

The first official presentation of the Performance Plus collection was a great success. Potential buyers were able to meet and inspect the PP horses in an informal atmosphere. The horses were groomed, tacked and ridden, so everybody was able to experience how calm and well behaved the horses are. The last horses added to the collection by means of a wildcard made a huge impression. Two staggering two year old stallions from Westphalia, who will participate at the KWPN Stallion Show, showed tremendous movement. One is a beautiful dark chestnut (white manes and tail) by Fürst Piccolo out of a mare by Florestan II x Akitos xx x Fortissimo, the other is by Laomedon - Lauries Crusador xx out of a mare by Paradox I x Ehrensold. Performance Plus also added a couple of very promising Dutch stallions to the collection, who will also participate at the KWPN Stallion Show. A son of Special D out of a dam by Astronaut - Le Mexico x Palfrenier drew everybody's attention with his appealing type and powerful movements and so did an attractive two year old stallion by Anky van Grunsven's new star Painted Black x Balzflug x Zuidhorn and a long lined two year old stallion by Royal Dance x Bismarck x Gentiaan. Before and after the first presentation horses were tried out and this will continue until Friday, the day of the second presentation. This event will be held at the Equestrian Centre Lichtenvoorde in Vragender, followed on Saturday by the auction itself.

Finally the riding horses will be presented. Replacements nrs. 17 & 26 ( 14-10-2006 )

The replacements for nr. 17 Feel Good (Florencio x Havidoff) and nr. 26 Soul Man (Saint Tropez x Damenstolz) are made public. In stead of these two horses we present two young promising stallions. Number 17 will be replaced by Fly Away (Fürst Piccolo x Florestan II) and number 26 Soul Man will be replaced by London (Laomedon x Paradox I). Both horses are signed in for the KWPN Stallionshow. The stallion committee of the NRPS (Dutch Riding Horse Studbook) has invited two Performance Plus stallions to participate in the performance test. Cat.nr. 25 Winston (Jazz x Vincent) and cat.nr. 27 Walking On Sunshine (Sandro Hit x Houston) will perform in the test after being presented at the NRPS Stallion Show.

Champions for sale at Performance Plus ( 03-10-2006 )

Performance Plus is proud to introduce two spectacular horses, that were added to the elite collection by means of a wild card. The Dutch National Champion and the Reserve Champion of the three year old mares will be for sale on the 21st of October in Equestrian Centre Lichtenvoorde. Never before the KWPN produced such outstanding mares. Absolute beauty queens, longlined and well developed, just the way dressage horses should be built. At studbook entering both champion Wiona-Utopia and reserve champion Wonderlady Texel were awarded with extreme high scores for movement. At the National Show in Ermelo they proved these scores to be accurate. Wiona-Utopia is sired by the striking Hannoverian stallion San Remo (s.Wolkentanz), one of the young talents in Edward Gal’s stables. The influence of Wonderlady Texel’ famous father Olympic Ferro is visible in her impressive dark bay appearance and the powerful and electric use of her hind leg. The first wildcard for Performance Plus 2006 is listed. It is the champion of the NRPS stallion show Ferrero, wildcard number 48. This son of world famous Olympic Ferro has a wonderfully developed forehand, very appealing in movement, bound to make dressage hearts beat faster. In movement not only his suppleness is striking, his attitude and technique make Ferrero a first class dressage horse. During the stallion show, Ferrero impressed the audience and the stallion commission with three good gaits.

Performance Plus 2006 has selected with great care a group of elite dressage horses. After several presentations and try out occasions these very special talents will be auctioned in Equestrian Centre Lichtenvoorde on Saturday October 21st. From embryo to schooled Grand Prix horse, riders and breeders will be given the chance to invest in top dressage talents. Performance Plus starts spectacularly with an embryo by Hotline, champion of the Hannoverian Stallion Show 2005, out of Florencia, full sister to double world champion Florencio. Hotline topped the scale last year when Paul Schockemöhle and Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen from Blue Hors Stud payd € 800.000,- at the Hannoverian stallion auction. Breeders will be very much interested in a yearling mare by Sandro Hit out of a full sister to Ulla Salzgeber's Grand Prix horse Piet (Jazz x Blanc Rivage xx). Another breeding highlight is Unanda (Olivi x Ulft), reserve champion of the Dutch National Show in 2004. Several approved stallions will be auctioned. Amongst them Sam-Sam (Houston x Zandigo), very popular in Denmark, and Sir Roi (Sir Oldenburg x Leroi), who just finished his performance test in Warendorf with great success. LICHTENVOORDE – The second edition of the Performance Plus auction that took place at Vragender on the 9th of september was very successful. The atmosphere at Equestrian Center Lichtenvoorde was very good this evening. The 2005 Performance Plus auction had a turnover of 1,203,500 euro. In total 65 horses were sold with an average price of 18,000 euro per horse. The stallion prospect Simsalabim became the price highlight at the Performance Plus auction 2005. The 2-year old Oldenburg stallion by Sandro Hit x Alabaster sold to Joop van Uytert and Ad Valk for 120,000 euro. There was a large interest from abroad. The second highest priced horse was the 3-year old KWPN dressage stallion Vonkenstein (Ferro x Havidoff) and was sold to Sweden for a price of 90,000 euro. The full sister to Florencio, the 3-year old Westfalian mare Florentina (Florestan x Weltmeyer), went to France for 60,000 euro. The licensed Oldenburger stallion Rubin's Touch, by Rubinstein out of a full sister to Piccolino (Prince Thatch xx x Ganymed), was sold to Germany for 50,000 euro. The organisation was very content with this second edition of the Performance Plus auction and are looking forward to next year.
